Description

Virginie is Investment Officer at the Agence Française de Développement (AFD) since August 2019. She is project lead for the financing of large infrastructure projects in developing countries (mostly in Africa) and leads the development of new financial solutions such as Development Impact Bonds. Prior to joining AFD, Virginie was the Head of Originations at Capital Impact Partners, a community development financial institution that brings capital into underserved communities in the US. Based in Oakland, California, she has worked 14 years in community development, financing projects in the sectors of education, health and housing. Prior to moving to the US, Virginie was a VP in Project Finance at CA-CIB for 7 years where she financed energy and infrastructure projects in the Middle East, North Africa and Eastern Europe. Virginie holds a Master’s degree from ESCP Europe business school.
