Greenpeace France
Directeur Général
Description
Jean-François Julliard, born in 1973, has been managing director of Greenpeace France since 2012. He was previously secretary general of Reporters Without Borders from 2008 to 2012.
Under his leadership, the NGO expanded and launched two new campaigns on livestock and air pollution. His first book, Les Veilleurs du ciel, was published by Éditions Don Quichotte in September 2015, a few months before the launch of COP21 in Paris. In it, he presents initiatives for an ecological transition around the world, from India to Denmark.
In December 2018, he launched the Affaire du Siècle on behalf of Greenpeace France, with the organizations Notre Affaire à tous, FNH and Oxfam France. The four NGOs are attacking the French state for climate inaction.
His second book, On ne joue plus! Manual of climate action and civil disobedience, was published in May 2019 by Seuil.
