Proposal Writing and Collaborative Project Management Consultant (CCMgt21)

We are currently recruiting a consultant in grant writing and collaborative project management to reinforce our team. The applicant will primarily be involved in in grant writing (especially, but not exclusively for Horizon Europe grant applications in Pillar II). As a secondary role, the job includes supporting the management activities of different national, European or international collaborative R&D projects. The variety of assignments for this position requires a multidisciplinary and open-minded profile, with the ability to work in different sectors. Under the general supervision of the Head of Innovation Funding and Project Management, the candidate will be responsible for the following activities (the list is not exhaustive):
Proposal writing
Co-design project concept, objectives and strategic approach
Partner search, manage the consortium, organize and facilitate meetings
Manage partner contributions to different tasks, collect information
Manage the collaborative editing environment
Monitor the writing process, advise partners on Horizon Europe rules
Create the budget for the consortium, manage partner requests
Assist the coordinator in submission
Project management
Project monitoring and follow-up (actions, deliverables and milestones)
Contribution to the preparation of project meetings
Contribution to event management (i.e. conferences, workshops, etc.)
Providing a continuous administrative “helpdesk” for project partners
Preparation and maintenance of grant and consortium agreements
Preparation of financial reports, follow-up
Maintenance of documentation, databases and contact information using our in-house IT tool (training will be provided)
Ad hoc assignments
Contribution to the development of R&D proposals and tenders
The position may also require the candidate to contribute to internal activities (e.g. development and maintenance of management tools, contribution to the deployment of online tools, etc.)
The job may require occasional, short-term international travel.
Requirements
In order to be considered for this position, the applicant must demonstrate all of the following:
Background
At least 2-3 years of hands-on experience with proposal writing and the management of EU-funded collaborative R&D projects (e.g. Framework Programmes FP7; H2020)
Consulting skills
A first experience as a consultant is appreciated
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and French are essential, any additional language is considered an asset
High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Personal skills
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Demonstrated ability for teamwork
Result-oriented mindset, including the ability to work both at macro and micro levels
Good analytical thinking with an ability to summarise, prioritise and present results
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and activities in an international and fast-moving work environment
Ability to work independently; proactively address issues and troubleshoot problems
Ability to engage in self-evaluation with regard to performance and professional growth
